into the wild was one of the most haunting and powerful films i have seen in quite a while , emile hirsch i believe captured chris 100 % , sean penn cared a great deal for this and it is evident with his flawless direction , eddie vedder's songs stay with you and the images stay with you long after the credits role , hal holbrook is brilliant ,
this is powerful film making at its finest
tragic and beautiful
one of the best films of the year or any year for that matter
